SERENA (SEmantic REtrieval for busiNess contActs)

Welcome to SERENA, a research project funded by the CTI (The Innovation Promotion Agency).  On this website we will inform you continously about the current state of our reseach.

SERENA is an interdisciplinary project, which aim is the development of an ontology-based information retrieval system for the biotechnology-industry that also incorporates a recommender system. 

The objectives of SERENA are:

• Exploration of innovative, semantic retrieval techniques
• Development of an intelligent recommender system based on an industry specific ontology
• Design of an appropriate user interface and a corresponding interaction concept
• Review of the transferability of the developed modules
